About The Role

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Software Tester to ensure the quality and functionality of our software applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and conducting tests to identify software defects, document testing procedures, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of our software products and ensuring they meet user requirements and business needs.

About You

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
  • Work closely with developers to understand software requirements and design features.
  • Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, and usability testing.
  • Document and report test results, and provide clear, actionable feedback to the development team.
  • Participate in design and code reviews to provide insights on testability and potential issues.
  • Maintain and update automated testing frameworks and scripts.
  • Ensure that all software releases meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies and tools.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in software testing or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
  • Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar.
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web services (REST, SOAP).
